When you return to the flat area, you can follow the trail signs and extend your walk on one of three trails. From the point, take in more views of the ocean with its dramatic coastline. These images embody that in so many ways. More than anything I want for the images I create to freeze moments in time, filled with emotion and love that will continue to remind people of how they loved and how they were loved. Yet they share truths about who Ilyssa and Kyle are at this point in their lives and the relationship they share. These photos are some of my favorites because they bring me back to this day and remind me of how much love Illysa and Kyle share for one another, they are nowhere near perfect – love isn’t perfect. At times Ilyssa shared TMI about Kyle (which was great for photo purposes and laughing until I couldn’t actually catch my breath), they ran through the flower fields, caught each other’s hats, and snuggled up to each other as the sun slowly set. Illysa and Kyle showed up and it was as though I was reunited with long lost pals, we stopped at every dog we saw along our way to the beach, we shared life updates, stories, and laughed a lot. ![]() Throughout the night we kept mingled intermittently and by the end of the evening, we exchanged information and Ilyssa sent us her wedding photos – which I later cried over in bed (her first look with her dad was a tearjerker).įast forward a month and we set up a shoot at Mori Point, for mid August. We immediately hit it off, I told her how much I loved her whole vibe, and we were fast friends. Ilyssa and Kyle’s connection was evident even from afar, the way they laughed at each other’s jokes, danced on the dancefloor and were so naturally comfortable with one another, so much of them made sense. I met Ilyssa and Kyle in June at a wedding I was photographing alongside Love is Rad, and I remember my first impression of Ilyssa as she walked down the isle in her yellow jumpsuit was, “Her hair is amazing!” She had two little buns atop her head followed by two waist-length braids and a huge smile on her face, I knew I wanted to at least tell her how much I loved her hair at some point in the night.Īfter the ceremony, Ilyssa and Kyle ended up introduced themselves to us, sharing just how much they loved wedding photographers and telling us about their recent wedding and sharing more about the two of them as a couple. Equally serving as a reminder of the importance of continuing to document your relationship after your wedding. A Mori Point Couples session with Ilyssa and Kyle.
